Revelio AI Search

Revelio AI Search is an AI-powered search engine integrated into the Qiscus Help Center. Designed to improve the self-service experience, Revelio allows users to ask questions in natural language and receive intelligent, relevant answers — complete with reference articles for deeper learning.

Revelio uses advanced natural language processing to understand user intent and deliver meaningful answers from your Knowledge Base. It's designed to help users find answers faster, especially when they aren’t sure what keywords to search for.

Each response includes referenced articles used in generating the answer, allowing users to open and explore the full content directly from the Help Center.

Key Features

  • Natural Language Search Users can ask questions in their own words, and Revelio will interpret and respond accordingly.

  • Article Reference Accordion Each AI-generated response includes a collapsible Reference section. When expanded, it shows which Knowledge Base articles were used to generate the answer.

  • User Feedback Options Users can like or dislike the answer to provide feedback. They can also copy the answer to clipboard for easy reuse.

  • Article Sync Dependency Revelio uses your Knowledge Base content as its data source.

    • You must enable Article Sync from Knowledge Base Settings so that articles can be indexed by Revelio.
    • Disabling Article Sync will pause future article syncing, but Revelio will still work using previously synced content.
  • Prepaid Credit System Revelio requires a minimum $1 balance to operate. Top-ups are processed manually via your Qiscus Account Manager (AM) using a prepaid mechanism.

  • Analytics Dashboard Access usage data such as:

    • Credit balance
    • User feedback (like/dislike)
    • Unanswered or failed queries
  • Caching & Rate Limiting To improve efficiency and prevent misuse:

    • Caching returns repeated queries faster and at lower cost.
    • Rate Limiting helps prevent abuse (e.g., DDoS attacks or bots) that could drain credits unfairly.
  • Helpdesk Admin Control Admins can choose whether to show or hide the Revelio AI feature from the Help Center search by navigating to: Helpdesk Settings → Tenant Options → AI Features → Toggle “Show AI-Powered Search”

Search Behavior Based on User Access

Revelio AI Search automatically adapts results based on the user’s role:

  • Internal Helpdesk Users (Logged In) Internal users (logged in to the Help Center) will receive answers that may include private articles as references. These articles are accessible only to internal staff.
  • Public Users (Anonymous or Logged In Visitors) External visitors or non-internal users will only see public articles in responses and will not see or be able to access private content. Revelio will exclude private references for them.

This ensures strict content visibility control while still enabling intelligent search results for each audience type.

  1. Go to Knowledge Base Settings and enable Article Sync.
  2. Contact your Qiscus Account Manager (AM) to top up your AI credit (minimum $1 required).
  3. In Helpdesk Settings → Tenant Options → AI Features, toggle on Show AI-Powered Search.
  4. Revelio AI will now appear as part of the Help Center’s search interface.

  • User enables the AI-Powered Search toggle in the interface.

This helps users find answers more quickly while still having the option to dive into complete articles if needed.

FAQs

Q: What happens when the credit balance runs out?

A: The AI-Powered Search toggle will no longer appear in the Help Center interface, making the feature temporarily unavailable to users. However, Revelio itself is not disabled. Once you top up your AI credit via your Qiscus Account Manager (AM), the toggle will reappear and the AI search will become accessible again.

Q: Can I disable Revelio after enabling it?

A: Yes. Admins can turn off the Show AI-Powered Search toggle in Helpdesk Settings to hide it from the Help Center.

Note: Disabling Article Sync only pauses future article syncing — Revelio will still function using already-synced articles.

Q: Is the credit usage deducted per search?

A: Yes. Each interaction with the AI deducts credits. However, caching and rate limiting help optimize this by reducing repeated costs and preventing misuse.

Q: Can Revelio understand images or diagrams in articles?

A: No. Revelio only processes text content from articles. It cannot interpret or generate answers based on images, illustrations, or embedded files. Make sure important details are written as text for the AI to understand and respond effectively.
